If you’ve ever had more than a five minute conversation with me. Chances are I’ve brought up Pinterest more than once. Having spent an unreasonable amount of time on the website I’ve become familiar with the Pinterest “classics.”

This DIY is definitely one of the aforementioned classics. I’ve seen it in a whole host of different colors and shapes and it still remains one of my favorites. I decided to recreate the look using plain white paint and what I like to think is one of the more angular plastic animals – a chicken.

Never one to break a habit, the steps are laughably easy.
1. Super glue the plastic animal on to the lid of a mason jar
2. Spray paint the lid until opaque
3. Use and subsequently turn the everyday activity of grabbing an ear bud in to an act rife with PRIDE AND JOY.

When my housemate saw this phone case he said that a more apt title for this post would be a DUI. (Rude). Never one to be swayed by criticism, I decided to post it because I live for the girls with the obnoxious, bejewelled, animal-eared phone cases. I couldn’t find one that was the right amount of mad though and decided to create one myself.

The process is so super easy it’s laughable.

1. Tape the jewels on to some newspaper

2. Spray paint them

3. Glue them on to a phone case

I like the texture and how the white gives it a minimalist aesthetic. What do you think? I’d like to take back some choice retorts to my housemate.
